Cosmetic Dental Bonding in Coconut Creek
Cosmetic dental bonding is a fast, conservative solution to improve the appearance of chipped, discolored, or uneven teeth. At Quality Dentistry of Coconut Creek, we use high-quality composite materials to repair imperfections, close small gaps, and reshape teeth for a more balanced, natural-looking smile. Serving patients in Coconut Creek, Parkland, and throughout Broward County, our personalized approach ensures results that blend seamlessly with your natural teeth—often completed in just one visit.
As with most cosmetic procedures, bonding will wear and discolor over time, eventually needing to be replaced; however, bonding is very durable and typically lasts many years.
Reasons for cosmetic bonding:
- Closing spaces or gaps
- Fixing chipped teeth
- Fixing decayed teeth (teeth with cavities)
- Lengthening uneven teeth
- Protecting roots exposed by receding gums
- Restoring badly discolored teeth
Composite Veneers (Cosmetic Bonding Alternative)
Cosmetic dental bonding is sometimes referred to as composite veneers, as both treatments use tooth-colored composite resin to enhance the shape, color, and overall appearance of your smile. While traditional porcelain veneers are custom-fabricated in a lab, composite veneers (bonding) are typically completed in a single visit and offer a more conservative approach with minimal alteration to your natural teeth.
For patients in Coconut Creek, Parkland, and Broward County looking for a faster, more affordable way to improve chipped, uneven, or slightly misaligned teeth, cosmetic bonding can deliver beautiful, natural-looking results with little to no downtime.
What does dental bonding involve?
To begin, the dentist will isolate the teeth included in the procedure, etching them in preparation for bonding. After applying the etching conditioning liquid, the surface of the teeth will have small crevices that allow the tooth stronger adhesion with the bonding agent.
The dentist will then apply a bonding resin which cements the composite in place. After several layers of tooth-colored composite are applied, the composite and bonding resin are shaped and hardened with a specially calibrated light. Once the composite is fully set, the bonded areas are smoothed, buffed, and polished to blend in naturally with the surrounding teeth.
